Species Description:
Sphinxes are an unusual and enigmatic race that can be found in most parts of Tyamera, especially the desert regions. They are at least as intelligent as humans and are a blend of human and feline. Only the females have wings; and only the males have serpent-like tails.
Generally reclusive, they are solitary and keep themselves to themselves. Guarding treasures or knowledge, they like nothing better than a good riddle and rarely speak straight to anyone.
Sphinxes are neutral creatures, but individuals can still be malevolent or good. Probably the best known of their species is the lengendary White Shinx, known as the 'Keeper', who acts as guardian to the Caverns of Prophecy in the Witch Mountains of Caevalonia. She has both wings and a serpent tail.
