"Firsa idly reached behind her for her drink as she scanned the pub. Sensing a change in air currents around her forearm rather than actually feeling it, she jerked her hand away, just in time to avoid a massive axe. She looked up at the growling owner of the axe, a dracosvulf.
"My beer!" Blackjack snarled, bringing his drink closer to himself.
Flicking her eyes to the bar, she noticed how close their drinks had been. She must have inadvertently reached for the wrong one. She covered her own glass with her hand and nodded to the dracosvulf. "Your beer," she said with a shrug.
This seemed to satisfy him, for he tipped his beer back and downed it. Firsa shook her head and returned to scanning the pub.
