So instead of just letting the piece sit on my pc, I decided to go ahead and post it to try to win it for myself. I actually could really use one because I'm a bit tired of using the mouse. Anyway, this is my entry into *drakhenliche's contest. The female is Aster, a demoness who delights in torture and despair. With the aid of two powerful Scuro, Ejo, on the left and Ris on the right, she just exacted her revenge on BlackJack (a DaemonSlayer who killed Aster once before). Rules for the contest were to have a couple of her characters interacting. Now...I read up on the bios for a bunch of these, and waaaay down at the bottom of Aster's bio (the demon lady), it said something about how she dreamed of taking out her revenge on BlackJack (other dude) for skewering her earlier.  4 "Through the Path of Fear" by Lijlover8 Description: "Ishya ran into Catsulek begging to help him find his way home.. Instead Catsulek sends him thru the Path of Fear where he needs to face his biggest fear, before he can come home... Catsulek could have sended him thru another way, but because of her hate for males she sends him thru the hard way. This took me quite some time to finish.. especially Catsulek took me looong to do; and I'm still not completely satisfied with the whole thing... I like Catsulek's wings the most I guess... and her hand (the one pointing) came out better then I expected Ishya and Catsulek were both done with ink and acrylics. Catsulek took me about 5 hours to do and Ishya about 2,5. The background was done with watercolor (aquarel) and acrylics; I used a ref pic of WoW (from this book of The Art Of WoW).  9 "You're Proportionally Taller " by Daiger Description: "Long story, Darkclaw is bored and stumbles upon boxing as a viable hobby that could profit him. So he signs up a short-term contract, enrolls as a fighter, and unsurprisingly blazes through the ranks (being an assassin and master of melee just does that). Just as he was bored and planned to go home, the Champion Nogar Nightgrave issues a challenge to him, despite the many ranks between them. Darkclaw accepts, of course, and on the night of the fight, they finally meet. Measuring up Darkclaw, Nogar suddenly uncovers his fear of proportionally taller people and hence, punches Darkside upside the head in attempt to reduce his height. Hence, the pic above. I'm not going to color it, because I'm not going to make it before the deadline, and I got kinda tired of the drawing . But I decided to submit the drawing with the story behind it as well. I'm not a good writer, so please don't go to hard on me with the story (if you're going to read it anyway ). ”… Lhune held still for a moment, and lowered her head, pointing up her ears. She listened carefully. And there was the sound again. A low, deep growl. She took another step towards the big varen-like bush, from which the sound came. She tried to catch the scent of whatever was out there. Another two steps. She was now only a few more steps away from the bush. There was a subdued, whispering sound, as a soft breeze blew through the trees above her. She waited for the breeze to pass, and concentrated on the more uncommon sounds again. Her glowing eyes softly lightened the ground in front of her. Not that she needed the extra light; she could see perfectly well in the dark. Suddenly, she heard a crack. It sounded like an old, dead twig being broken by something heavy standing on it. It was again a sound from behind the varen. The big leaves blocked her sight. She stood still for a moment, and closed her eyes. This way, she fully concentrated on the sounds she could hear. But there was nothing. No sound. It was strangely quiet in the forest. Apparently, the loud, cracking sound had surprised the creatures around her. In this odd silence, Lhune could almost feel them listening… However, slowly, the more common sounds started again; birds jumping from branch to branch, squirrels running through the leaves, collecting food for the coming winter. She took the last steps towards the bush, and sank through her legs, almost lying down. One of the big varen leaves stroke her mane. At that moment, when it was really quiet, she swore she could hear something breathe. She took only one more step. In the corner of her eye, she saw something doing exactly the same thing. She turned her head, and her eyes met those of a wolf. Not a normal wolf though, this one was a lot bigger and more muscular. His eyes were glowing too, and his nose and eyebrow were pierced. Both out of surprise and fear, she pulled up her lips, showed him her teeth, and growled. Almost immediately realising that had been a mistake; the wolf did the same thing…” This is pretty much the story I had in mind while drawing this.  14 "Battle In Darkness" by FyreNWater Description: "the Daemonslayers were going through a few towns that had been attacked by the oddest demon. townspeople claimed it was completely covered in bandages, others said shadows and darkness followed it wherever it went. there was a trail of destruction that went through several towns. there seemed to be no motive at all, just random murders, floods, and things burned down. finally, they split up to track this thing. Blackjack was passing through a freshly burnt field, an aura of evil drifting through it. suddenly, fireballs began to fly at him, nearly stirking him as he leapt to the side. he turned and faced the creature that was feared in the parts. it was not a demon, but instead a drakenthrope with the most evil and sadistic thoughts in his psychotic mind: Maharuko. immediately the two engaged in a fierce battle, trading blows and just missing each other's claws. finally Blackjack pulled out his axe and lunged at Maharuko. "this ends now, demon!" he yelled. Maharuko swiftly leapt backwards, summoning a spell of darkness. "oh, i'm not a demon." Maharuko replied telepathically. "i'm much worse..." with a sweep of his arm, the field went pitch black, and the sound of Maharuko's mad laughter filled Blackjack's ears..."  15 "In The Dark " by Tsuana Description: "Tsuana (mine), and Blackjack (dragonchiche's) characters on a rooftop. Tsuana's sugguesting something raunchy to blackjack who's suprised at the offer. Mostly I decided to do something like this since i'm not good at multi-character action poses and the other things I tried were too mature to post. In fact, those never left the rough sketch stage... but at least it gave me something to play with while I was away on my surgury. And also Tsuana is representing me in my stage of emotional development right now, i'm willing to try all kinds of new things too. I hope I don't offended dragoncliche as her character's somewhat um... not as cute and fuzzy as i'm in the habit of making characters... my perpetual cuteness virus... here goes! I just fell in love with this character as soon as I saw his refs. and decided to make an all-out battle between Darren and him. Which I hope is displayed in my best abilities here..... Darren, the messed-up and much aged, in this pic., angel to the right is copyright to me. So now, to the story. This can be interpreted as many things, but to me, as I made it I just kind of imagined this hush of excitement from Orks or some other rather unpleasant population who live in the mountain cheering on two warriors for a death battle. The fireworks commencing the battle, the sparks of the fire burning on their backs and the blue-fire barriers keeping them on the smooth marble plateau. P.S. There are no lizard deaths in this one. This is my contest entry for Drakhenliche's contest. I'm not really sure where I was going with this. It was supposed to be a fight scene but the six arms just weren't working out so I opted for a conversation scene instead. Bloodbane accidently stumbled into Mezzy's domaine and since she required some assistance in a matter she agreed to let him out of her domaine if he helped. Though my char is evil she does hold to her word and she's now explaining to Bloodbane how to get out or something such. (I couldn't draw hands to save my life O.o...can you tell?). Anyway, I had to stick six pages together to make this piccie since I'm an idiot and drew mezzy too big lol.
